For this project, we were hired by Seattle-based Kauri Investments to rebrand apartments in the South Lake Union neighborhood for a condo conversion. We based the name, Carbon56, off of the building’s 56 units and the massive amount of metal that characterizes its architecture and design. The new name and brand led to a speedy lease-up, and ultimately, the sale of the property to a new investment group.
In addition to developing the brand, we also produced signage, advertising, print collateral, and a website. Eventually, the homeowner association decided to convert the condos back into apartments, and we were called upon again for a second rebranding; this time, the same logo with new colors. We updated the signage, print collateral, and messaging to fit with the brand’s new look. Once again, the property was promptly leased-up and sold by our client to other investors—a branding success story, squared!
